Email Access

Outlook on the Web provides complete access to your email from any web browser. This service is available to all employees, works well on all devices, and is the recommended method for accessing email remotely.

Remote Desktop

Remote Desktop allows you to access your workstation computer from outside the office. The remotely accessed computer behaves as though you are sitting directly in front of it and replicates the in-office experience completely. This service is only available to employees that have received management approval.

Requires Android 4.1 or newer

Follow these steps to configure and use remote desktop from your device:

  1. Install the Android app from the Google Play Store
  2. Open the app, and tap on the menu:

  3. Select Gateways from the Menu:

  4. Tap the plus icon (+) to create a new gateway:

  5. Enter server name = remote.edictsystems.com, and Use desktop user account. Tap Save:

  6. Select Home from the menu:

  7. Select the plus icon (+) to create a new remote computer, then select Desktop:

  8. Enter the computer name for the system you want to control, select the gateway you just created, and tap Save:

  9. To connect to the remote desktop, tap on the new entry for your computer:

  10. You will be prompted for credentials. Enter your user name in the form of edictsystems\username, and enter your password. Tap Connect:

  11. You may have to enter your username and password twice.
  12. If you entered all the information correctly (and you have been granted permission to use Remote Desktop), then you will be connected to the computer you specified.
Optional: Set default user name (to prevent typing it twice)
  1. Select User Accounts from the menu.
  2. Tap the plus icon (+) to create a new entry. Enter your username in the form of edictsystems\username, enter your password, and tap Save.
    - or -
    You can enable "Store user name and password" when connecting to automatically create an entry.
  3. Select Gateways from the menu.
  4. Edit the gateway, select your user account, and tap Save.
  5. Select Home from the menu.
  6. Edit the settings for the desktop connection, select your user account, and tap Save.
  7. For security reasons, you will always be prompted to enter your password:

Note: If your saved password is incorrect, you will be prompted to enter your password multiple times. To fix this, edit the User Account and update your password.
